This wedding was a gorgeous, ethereal, garden-inspired event with a shabby-chic flair! Right up my alley for those of you that know me. :) The reception was held at The Starlight Theater, and it was, well... stunning. The blizzard conditions on Saturday might have held a few people back, but boy did they miss out! The arrangements above were meant to flank the entrance to the theater, but because of the weather we moved them inside to be a feature on either side of the band. It was as if it was meant to be... they were so perfect there! We found these enormous paper roses and attached them to 7 foot tall curly willow branches for a tree effect. The theme of huge white roses ran through this event... there were even gorgeous silk roses on the bride's gown. Below, one of the low styles of centerpieces from the reception.
Above, the cool curly willow trees that we came up with! In my dark garden urns, these featured curly willow branches with gorgeous dendoribum orchids, stock, hydrangea, etc. We even incorporated vintage lace accents to pick up on the lace theme that ran throughout the event. Below, check out the amazing lighting (what a DIFFERENCE this makes!). We used these huge iron trees from Something Borrowed as centerpieces on a few feature tables throughout the room... spotlighted of course! This rental company has gorgeous items, ladies... really the only place in town with so much variety and up-to-date inventory. We added a few blooms for that romantic touch.
Hopefully I can get some photos from the pros of the personal flowers and church pieces, they were equally fun to do!
